To access the Eastern Beach the tides are important to know. You should never attempt to cross Eli Creek 2 hours either side of High Tide. Australia BOM tides http://www.bom.gov.au/ntc/IDO59001/IDO59001_2020_QLD_TP035.pdf

For example the weekend of Friday 13 November has the following tides:
Fri 13 Nov: Low tide 12:08 0.41m, High tide 18:10 1.86m
Sat 14 Nov: Low tide 12:57 0.37m, High tide 18:56 1.86m
Sun 15 Nov: Low tide 13:49 0.37m, High tide 19:43 1.86m
So the best days for the beach are Friday and Saturday.

    • Magical morning light at sunrise and golden hour on the Western beach.
  • Morning
    • Depart Kingfisher with lunch, or buy lunch on the way.
    • Eurong
      • Drive to Eurong to reach Eastern Beach – 1 hour
      • Coffee at the bakery, great pies and yummy stuff.
    • Eli Creek
      • Drive north to cross Eli Creek – 45 mins
      • Stop at Eli before it gets too busy
      • 1 hour or so
    • Maheno
      • Drive north to Maheno – 10 mins
      • 30 mins to look around
    • The Pinnacles
      • Drive north to the Pinnacles – 15 mins
      • 30 mins to look around
    • Lake Allom
      • Drive south to Worallie Track
      • Drive west on Worallie Track
      • Stop at Knifeblade lookout
      • 30 mins
      • Drive West to Lake Allom turn off
        • Enjoy the rainforest
      • Park and walk down to the turtles
        • Time permitting walk around the lake
        • Swimming optional
        • 1 hour
    • Lunch at Lake Allom or drive back to Happy Valley
  • Afternoon
    • Happy Valley
      • Drive east back to the beach
      • Head south when you get to the beach
      • 45 mins drive
      • Fuel if needed
      • Ice cream
      • Lunch
    • Lake Wabby and the Dunes
      • Drive south from Happy Valley
      • 30 mins drive
      • If you would like a walk!
      • Park on the beach
      • Take the walk through the bush
      • Come out onto a dune, WOW!
      • Follow the poles
      • Swimming optional
      • Walk back across the Dune to the beach
    • Kingfisher
      • Drive back to Eurong, and across the island to Kingfisher
      • 1.5 hours

    • Sunset at Kingfisher
